IMPACT aims to improve nutrition and access to healthy foods in Turkana County, Kenya. The focus is on young children and mothers.

Why nutrition? According to the baseline findings, persistent malnutrition and household food insecurity is a daily challenge. More than 73.4% of women in the county are consuming less than five out of 10 food groups while the majority of children (79.5%) between 6-23 months access less than the 4 out of 7 food groups. These figures point to a fact that malnutrition is a serious impediment to the efforts of achieving the sustainable development goals (SDGs).

The IMPACT program focuses on integrating and scaling up successful initiatives of nutrition and food production to reverse malnutrition cycle.
