Dominic Godana, Chief of Party-Africare IMPACT

Seasoned professional, Dominic has over two decades of experience working in public health nutrition development both in humanitarian and development set up with an international organization he has considerable expertise on health, nutrition, food security and health policy issues in Africa region, very passionate about improving wellbeing of vulnerable communities.
He is the current Country Representative for Africare in Kenya and the Chief of Party for the Improved Approach to Community Based Nutrition in Turkana (IMPACT) program a $USD 5 Million project funded by Bayer Fund.
Prior to joining Africare, He was the Country Director and head of Programs for the Global Alliance for improved nutrition (GAIN), Kenya, a Swiss based international organization launched at the UN headquarter in 2002 to tackle the human suffering caused by malnutrition.
Previously, Dominic also worked for Food for the Hungry (FH) International a US based International organization seeking to end ALL forms of human poverty by going to the hard places and walking with the world’s most vulnerable people as their national health and nutrition program head.
Dominic is good at managing multi-sectoral programs, developing strategies and polices for health and nutrition projects, his experience encompassing Child Health/Nutrition, nutrition in emergencies, food security, Water and sanitation and supporting Health Systems Strengthening, He has a long track record of successfully implementing health and nutrition programs in Kenya and resource limited regions of Africa like South Sudan and Mozambique
Dominic has MBA in Global Business and Sustainability (Social Entrepreneurship Track) from UniversitĂ  Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, BSC in Human nutrition and dietetics and certificate in Public Health.
